how has life been? let me try to break it up a little..
my walk
consistent.. but well, i'm always checking myself... the latest few things are from revelations... whether i'm lukewarm, or dead... the sermons on revelations have been really interesting, though i must admit that this is the part of the bible that i really didn't feel too comfortable/confident reading. 1 more interesting thought, when God says something, it doesn't mean that He implies on something else that might seem like opposite. for eg.. if you do this, i'll nv blot u out from the book of life... (does it mean he might blot u out from the book of life if u dun do what he says? haha, i dunno... we like to imply so much...)
social life
haa, i dun have much of social life.. so from jami and penghock, now becomes jami, mag, weilun... sometimes sharon... but i still thank God for all of u.. i haven't done much... esp when Andrew has gone to Australia, now we don't go bowling, we don't go take photos, we don't go sing much anymore anyway... though its nice to just hang out in a group once in a while... missed having a life...
work
oh well, work has been smooth.. but u know la... sometimes smooth work can be rather frustrating... boss commented abt pple going late, having long lunches, and not producing work.. somehow, i felt that he's talking abt me other than the fact that i deliver my work despite going late and having long lunches. and yes, i go very late at times... now its kinda frustrating because i'm doing all the visual stuffs, making an application looks nicer because that's what the customers will look at, and boss thinks i deserve a lot more than them looking at a disgusting software. i appreciate it from him, but he can be really demanding la... and its really not so easy to change some of these things that he's asking for. olivetree project isn't all that smooth as well.. haii...
family
my mum seemed a little upset over things at my grandpa's place. i'm hoping to spend some time with my mum over there, though it might not be easy since things are hard because of the fact i'm a Christian... (story is auntie is upset with me because i don't attend those ritual things and my mum protected me, now she's angry at my mum) i asked myself, when i see them and am able to react, will i be like them, to get angry and pissed at each other? or will i show grace even though they are out to attack us? seem quite obvious that i want to show grace... mum gotta understand too that by showing grace, we show ourselves to be different... and mum's birthday is coming soon too... and MHS, showing my mum the video.. (:
additional things
kaleo (church youth group) camp is coming... i'm doing logistics and the devotional materials... pray for me... that i will write what the Lord impress on my heart... its easy to pull out materials off the internet, but its hard to make sure that these materials is exactly what the Lord wants to tell them... i don't quite believe in doing things this way.. so i'll study the text and come out with something... some thoughts so far...
1) 2 Timothy 1
Paul exhorts Timothy to rekindle his zeal for the Christian life and ministry.
2) 2 Timothy 2:24-26
The Lord's bond-servant must not be quarrelsome, but be kind to all, able to teach, patient when wronged, with gentleness correcting those who are in opposition, if perhaps God may grant them repentance leading to the knowledge of the truth, and they may come to their senses and escape from the snare of the devil, having been held captive by him to do his will
3) 2 Timothy 3:14-17
All scripture is God breathed... so are we obeying all that is being written, is there anything that we do that shows that we don't think God's word is the absolute truth?
4) 2 Timothy 4:3–4
For the time will come when they will not endure sound doctrine, but according to their own desires, because they have itching ears, they will heap up for themselves teachers; and they will turn their ears away from the truth, and be turned aside to fables.
2 Timothy 4:18
And the Lord will deliver me from every evil work and preserve me for His heavenly kingdom. To Him be glory forever and ever. Amen!
and yes, i need to pray... must be careful that i do not assume what to do... with the "cleverness" in me...
